I propose to take Questions Nos. 608 to 610, inclusive, 650 and 651 together.
Sligo University Hospital has had a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory service operating 1 to 2 days per week (mobile service) delivering diagnostic angiographies, with referral pathways to Galway University Hospitals for speciality Cardiology interventions up to the 30th June 2022.
Following the decision of the private company providing the service to cease operations of the mobile Cath Lab Services at the hospital, the Saolta Group worked with hospital management on possible contingency measures.
Following an examination of the options, it was determined that Sligo patients will be treated at University Hospital Galway with designated slots being allocated for this cohort of patients. This arrangement will stay in place until the publication of the National Review of Cardiac Services later this year.
I have asked the HSE to respond directly to the Deputy to provide additional details regarding cardiac services at Sligo University Hospital.
