222. Deputy Aindrias Moynihan asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if he is satisfied that the fish passes at Carrigadrohid and Inniscarra dams are adequately giving access; the way that their effectiveness is measured; if issues have been identified; the plans, if any, for modifications deemed necessary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised that the infrastructure referred to by the Deputy is in the ownership and under the management of ESB in line with its statutory responsibilities for certain fishery rivers.

The issues referred to are operational matters for ESB in which neither I nor my Department have and function.
