Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the actions that his Department and bodies under the aegis of his Department are taking to increase recruitment of members of the LGBTQIA+ communities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not recruit staff directly. The Public Appointments Service recruits all staff for my Department.

The agencies under the remit of my Department have been asked to respond directly to the Deputy on this matter.
