309. Deputy Jennifer Whitmore asked the Minister for Finance the total Exchequer funding collected through carbon tax intake on an annual basis since its introduction; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39522/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am advised by Revenue that the total annual amounts collected through the Carbon Tax, since its introduction in 2010 and up to 2020, are published on the Revenue website at the following link:
www.revenue.ie/en/corporate/information-about-revenue/statistics/excise/receipts-volume-and-price/excise-receipts-commodity.aspx.
I am further advised that the amounts raised through the Carbon Tax in 2021 and provisionally to the end of June 2022 are €652 million and €409 million respectively.
