Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the number of children for whom there were no alternate care placements available in each of the years 2020 and 2021 and for the first six months of 2022; the gender and ages of these children; the length of time that each child and young person was left without alternate care provision; the alternate care provision that was eventually provided for the children and young persons concerned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
