1418. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Justice the number of persons currently on remand for theft offences and due to be released in each of the years 2024 to 2026, in tabular form. [43190/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraI can advise the Deputy, that there are currently 156 prisoners on remand with the most serious offence of theft and related offences. In addition, I can advise there are currently 91, 30 and 10 prisoners serving a sentence with the most serious offence of theft and related offences due to be released in 2024, 2025 and 2026 respectively.
