Ceist:

1482. Deputy Réada Cronin asked the Minister for Health the reason that the Government is not heeding World Health Organization advice on mitigations; if he will publish the scientific basis of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41961/22]

The Deputy is advised that the current Government response is informed by expert advice, is proportionate to Ireland’s current epidemiological profile and is informed by international guidance and best practice.

The office of the Chief Medical Officer in conjunction with colleagues in the HSE, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) and the National Virus Reference Laboratory (NVRL), continue to monitor the epidemiological profile of the disease with due regard for international developments.
