Recruitment continues to be a significant challenge for the tourism sector along with many other sectors of the economy. My Department and Fáilte Ireland are continuing to collaborate with industry and other Government Departments to ensure that there is a coordinated approach to addressing labour and skills shortages.

One of Fáilte Ireland’s key strategic priorities is to help build employment in the tourism industry. I have referred the Deputy's question to Fáilte Ireland to provide further details of their extensive work on this issue. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
