Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Transport further to Parliamentary Question No. 152 of 24 May 2022, the progress that has been made to simplify the language used within the driver theory test to accommodate applicants that have learning and language difficulties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraUnder legislation, the Road Safety Authority is responsible for the operation of the Theory Test. My Department has no involvement in creating the test material nor in the operation of the test. I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
