Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Transport the amount of revenue generated through parking charges at Irish Rail train stations in each of the years of 2019 to 2021 and to-date in 2022, in tabular form; and the amount that was reinvested into improving Irish Rail services. As the Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of public transport.
The issues raised by the Deputy are operational matters for Iarnród Éireann, and I have therefore forwarded the Deputy's questions to the company for direct reply.
