Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will provide a list of the names of each special advisor employed by her Department since 2015, the relevant Minister they worked under and the date that their employment with the Department/Minister ceased where applicable [51787/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraOn the commencement of every Dáil, the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform issues guidelines setting out the arrangements for the staffing of Ministerial Offices. The appointment of Special Advisors is subject to Section 11 of the Public Service Management (PSMA) Act 1997.
The appointment of individual Special Advisors is a matter for each Government Minister subject to the terms set out in the aforementioned guidelines, although the appointments are also subject to formal Government approval.
A breakdown of all Special Advisors employed by my Department, since 2015 is supplied in the table below.
