313. Deputy Marian Harkin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he, as a shareholder in Coillte Teoranta, will clarify information regarding the estimated volume of timber to be felled under felling licences dated 2021, granted by his Department (details supplied). [53915/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn 2021 my Department issued 1,534 Coillte felling licences. These were scheduled to be utilised in each of the years 2021, 2022 and in 2023. The total volume of all these licences together accounts for the 5 million cubic metres referenced in the question. The figures for the total volume actually felled during 2021 are a matter for Coillte.
