Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if he has been contacted or engaged by a company (details supplied) in respect of job losses at the company; if he will outline the nature of those discussions; and if he is satisfied the company has complied with communication protocols in respect of redundancies. Amharc ar fhreagraOn 9 November 2022, the Tánaiste received a notification detailing proposed collective redundancies from the company referenced, in accordance with the Protection of Employment Act 1977, as amended.
The notification confirms that the company is undertaking the collective redundancy consultation process required under the Act with the representatives of employees whose roles are at risk of redundancy.
