Deputy Gino Kenny asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the current crisis of bus driver shortages and recruitment; the way in which the BusConnects programme can be implemented in Dublin, given the failure to retain and recruit sufficient drivers by all companies that are needed for the expansion; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure and services in the Greater Dublin Area, including the implementation of BusConnects Dublin.
