614. Deputy Noel Grealish asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if there are plans for a sanitary agreement (details supplied) to be established between Ireland and Algeria; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [56412/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraIreland has an existing sanitary agreement for dairy and related products with Algeria. The Embassy of Ireland in Algeria is currently engaging directly with the Algerian authorities, on behalf of my Department, to clarify certain points in the interpretation of this agreement. A response from the Algerian authorities is awaited, and this will determine next steps.
