Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage further to Parliamentary Question No. 416 of 8 November 2022, if under Article 6 of the Habitats Directive, that there is a requirement to produce management or conservation plans for SACs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Sites designated under the Habitats Directive must be managed, conserved and protected in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the Directive.

Article 6.1 of the Directive requires Member States to establish the necessary conservation measure.
