Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of farmers paid under the areas of natural constraint; the total amount of payments in Euro paid out under this scheme since the formation of the current Government by county in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Note that balancing payments for 2022 commenced on 5th December 2022 and payments will continue to be made into 2023 because some farmers will not have met their minimum stocking requirements until 31st December 2022.
