194. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Transport if he will provide a schedule of the current greenway and blueway projects broken down by section; the current status of each section; and the costs to date associated with the sections and planned completion dates. [63068/22]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for overall policy and exchequer funding in relation to Greenways. The planning, design and construction of individual Greenways is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), in conjunction with the local authorities concerned, subject to the Public Spending Code and the necessary statutory approvals. In this context, TII is best placed to provide the information requested.

Separately, Blueways come under the remit of Waterways Ireland. Noting this, I have also referred your question to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for a direct reply.
