Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Health if he will address the situation whereby long-stay contribution hospital charges are being applied in cases in which home support has been awarded but where HSE or agency staff were not available such as in the case of a person (details supplied) meaning that the patient has to remain in hospital due to not having home help support which would allow them to go home; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
