Deputy Alan Dillon asked the Minister for Health if he will provide an update on HSE national funding through the national clinical programme and acute hospitals for four new consultant anaesthesiology posts at a hospital (details supplied) supported by the Saolta Group in April 2022 to allow the recommended on-call rota cover of two consultants and two NCHDs; the reason that the hospital is an outlier and has not been prioritised like similar model 3 hospitals in Sligo and Letterkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
