Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health if consideration is being given to extending access to paxlovid to groups at the highest risk of serious illness or death from Covid-19, without the need for a positive Covid-19 test or symptoms of Covid-19; if his attention has been drawn to the decision in France to change the criteria for prescribing paxlovid (details supplied); his views on same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
