350. Deputy Seán Canney asked the Minister for Education the status of the amalgamation of two primary schools (details supplied); the stage it is at; when she expects work to start on the construction of the new school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [2864/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy will be aware, a building project is proposed which will facilitate the amalgamation of the schools to which he refers. Additional land is required to facilitate the development and in that context, agreement in principle has been reached with the land owner for my Department to acquire these lands. In tandem with this, my Department will progress the preparation of the accommodation brief for the building project.
