Deputy Duncan Smith asked the Minister for Education the status of the primary school in a location (details supplied); if, in light of the recent judicial review proceedings being lodged in respect of a planning application on this site, she will now commence the process of identifying another location for this much-needed school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has reached agreement in principle for the acquisition of a 3.31 acre site in Donabate to permanently accommodate Gaelscoil na Mara. The acquisition of this site is conditional on the development of a large residential development that was granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanála in November 2022. As the Deputy is aware, unfortunately judicial review proceedings have been lodged in respect of An Bord Pleanála’s decision. My Department now await for the outcome of this process.
