475. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the eligibility for household benefits in the case of a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4019/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application from the person concerned was received on 24 January 2023. In their application, the person applied only for the Free Television Licence element of the Household Benefits Package. A Free Television Licence has been awarded and a letter issued to the person concerned on 26 January 2023.
The person concerned did not apply for the Electricity or Gas Allowance on their application. If this was an oversight and the person intended to have their entitlement to Electricity or Gas Allowance examined, they should contact my Department (providing a recent copy of their electricity or gas bill in their name) by email to householdbenefits@welfare.ie or in writing to Household Benefits Section, Department of Social Protection, College Road, Sligo, F91 T384.
