Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform the number of communications staff currently employed in his Department; the cost of these staff for 2022; the expected cost for 2023; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that there are currently 12 staff working in communications roles in my Department: 1 Principal Officer; 1 Press and Information Officer; 3 Assistant Principals; 2 Higher Executive Officers; 1 Administrative Officer; 3 Executive Officers; 1 Clerical Officer.
The salary costs of staff in communications roles in my Department in 2022 was €613,895. The costs for 2023 is estimated at €668,022.
