127. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment when the IDA will put out to tender the construction of a new advanced manufacturing building on its site at Marlinstown, Mullingar; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8884/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraIDA Ireland received the final grant of planning permission from Westmeath County Council on the 29th December 2022 for the construction of a c.50,000sq.ft. Advanced Building Solution consisting of office and light industrial/production spaces. IDA Ireland has commenced the public procurement process for the selection of a suitably qualified contractor to complete the development. It is IDA Ireland’s intention to appoint a contractor for the construction of the Advanced Building Solution in Q3 2023 with a view to commencing the development shortly thereafter. The appointment of the contractor will also be subject to approval by the IDA Ireland Board The Deputy will appreciate, therefore, that these dates will depend on a satisfactory outcome from the public procurement process and may be subject to change.
