Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if his Department supports the use of gender-neutral pronouns in the drafting of legislation or policies initiated by or originating in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is currently engaged in a review of the Equality Acts, including in relation to strengthening protections for transgender people. I will consider proposals that emerge from that process, including in relation to gender-related language. I anticipate legislative proposals arising from the review to be brought forward this year.
