Ceist:

1010. Deputy Matt Shanahan asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if he will provide a detailed explanation of the processes, milestones and timelines for releasing ring-fenced funding in his Department in respect of the compulsory purchase order being contemplated by Wexford Council for the acquisition of lands for a higher education campus; and if he will make a statement on the matter. All processes relating to property and site acquisitions are conducted in accordance with the Public Spending Code requirements and relevant guidance from the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform.

The acquisition of the proposed site is currently being progressed by Wexford County Council. Expanding the higher education campus in Waterford and Wexford remain key priorities for me and for my Department.
