Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if the necessary regulations will be put in place in respect of planning for the owners of property who operate short-term rentals (details supplied), given that local authorities are applying a different set of rules in their respective areas in view of the fact that no policy directive has been issued by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
