Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Education if she will detail the contacts she has had with a school (details supplied) in County Tipperary in respect of the need to progress the building programme for the school; if she will provide an update and give assurance in relation to the building programme at the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has no current record of receiving an application for additional school accommodation (ASA) from the school in question However, officials in my Department have been in contact with the school authority to complete an ASA for assessment. When the application is received and assessment process is completed, a decision will be conveyed to the school authority directly.
