813. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will outline whether her Department can cover any social protection service in respect of providing persons with access to versatis patches who do not have the means to bridge the cost of same. [12687/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn general, medical or health related benefits fall within the remit of the Department of Health and the HSE. While my Department administers the Treatment Benefit scheme which provides some dental, optical, and medical appliance benefits to insured workers, the self-employed and retired people who have the required number of PRSI contributions, versatis pain relief patches do not come under the remit of the scheme.
