148. Deputy Patrick Costello asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the length of time the HSE Disability Appeals Officer post has been vacant; and the steps being taken for recruiting a new one; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19814/23]

This position has been vacant for a number of weeks. My Department is currently working with the Public Appointments Service to run a competition to fill this position as soon as possible.
