Deputy John Brady asked the Minister for Education the action being taken by her Department regarding security concerns raised by a school (details supplied); the action and measures that will be implemented by her Department following the completion of an assessor report carried out in 2022; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department's Planning and Building Unit is currently assessing its work programme and priorities for 2023 in the context of its available funding. Key priorities for the Department's work programme include continuing strong delivery to support the operation of the school system with particular regard to planning ahead for the 2023/24 school year and beyond and also with particular regard to supporting special needs provision.
The needs of the school in question will be considered in this context and my Department will be in contact with the school patron in due course.
