49. Deputy Steven Matthews asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform if additional funding can be considered to allow for further planning roles within An Bord Pleanála, all local authorities, the Office of the Planning Regulator amongst other State entities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Funding for An Bord Pleanála, local authorities and the Office of the Planning Regulator is in the first instance a matter for the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

Funding for all Government Departments and State Bodies will be considered in the context of the 2024 Estimates process.
