37. Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide a breakdown of the asset allocation of the National (Surplus) Reserve Fund, disaggregated by asset type and location, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23478/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe NTMA have advised me that the investment objective of the National (Surplus) Reserve Fund is to preserve, to the extent possible, the full nominal value of the fund having regard to the credit rating of the financial institution or issuer of the investments. The NTMA has informed me that in line with that objective, the Fund is currently invested in Irish Exchequer notes at commercial rates. This portfolio has a positive return
