62. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence the number of instances in which his Department used unlicenced software and/or lapsed licenced software in the past ten years to date; the associated expenditure on same to remedy the situation; and the software that was used. My Department has procedures and controls in place to ensure that unlicensed software cannot be installed.

For security and operational reasons, it would not be appropriate for me to comment on specific details in relation to cybersecurity.
