146. Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Transport the amount that was generated in NCT charges for private vehicles and retests in each of the years 2017 to 2022 and to date in 2023; the amount generated, per age of vehicle; and the number of vehicles in each category, in tabular form. [33443/23]

The operation of the National Car Testing Service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority. I have referred the Deputy's query to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
