285. Deputy Brian Leddin asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide details on the estimated VAT revenue generated by the hire of bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes and e-cargo bikes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35757/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am advised by Revenue that traders are not required to identify the VAT yield generated from the supply of specific goods and services on their VAT returns. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an accurate estimate of VAT collected on bike hire using information provided on tax returns.
