143. Deputy Violet-Anne Wynne asked the Minister for Transport his views on the number of public car parking spaces, per head of population, in each county, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41422/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraUnder Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, the provision of parking bays on public roads is a sole function of local authorities. My Department does not monitor parking bay numbers and does not have sight of the statistics requested.
