228. Deputy Sean Sherlock asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of the Irish Draught Horse Studbook; whether the draft rules submitted by HSI have been ratified by him; and if not, when they will be ratified by him. [41935/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraRegulation (EU) 2016/1012 lays down the rules governing the approval of a breeding programme. My Department had sought a number of clarifications from Horse Sport Ireland in relation to the breeding programme for the Irish Draught Horse. The requested documentation was received on 25/9/2023. My Department will carry out an evaluation of this documentation before approval will issue.
