343. Deputy Mark Ward asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the number of people who have completed child protection training through sporting bodies, by sport, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [42311/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraSport Ireland is the statutory body with responsibility for the development of sport, increasing participation at all levels and raising standards. It acts in a guidance and support capacity to National Governing Bodies of Sport in the area of safeguarding and child protection.
