158. Deputy Ged Nash asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform the proposed funding allocation for potential pay increases across the public service in 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47199/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe current public service pay agreement, Building Momentum, is due to expire at the end of 2023. As such, Government and public service staff representatives are due to enter into discussions on a successor agreement in the coming period. The overall budgetary arithmetic takes into account that a public service pay agreement may be reached in 2024. However, the details of this are subject to negotiation and as such it would not be appropriate to comment further.
