582. Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to provide an update of any plans or proposals in relation to the proposed plaque outside the Customs House commemorating the community commemorative event of 25 May 2008 in remembrance of An Gorta Mór. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my officials along with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and the OPW agreed to the placement of the commemorative plaque in the Custom House Visitors Centre for the public to view. The commemorative plaque was installed in June 2023.
