994. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will consider the implementation of a disability home support scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47631/23]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Health Service Executive (HSE) funds home support hours for those needing assistance with everyday tasks across a number of different schemes that encompass disability services and services for older people. The Department of Health is currently leading on the development of a new statutory scheme for the financing and regulation of home support services. My Department will input to this scheme, insofar as it relates to people with disabilities, as the work progresses.
