Deputy Holly Cairns asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth the number of outstanding birth information access requests from adopted people to their medical records and other personal files; and the wait time to date for each request, in tabular form. As the subject matter of the Deputy’s question relates to an operational matter for the Child and Family Agency, Tusla, and the Adoption Authority of Ireland (AAI), I have requested that both Tusla and the AAI respond directly to the Deputy in this instance.
