The persons referred to by the Deputy both held a Stamp 4 immigration permission, which expired on 20 July 2023 and 25 July 2023 respectively. Online registration renewal applications were submitted on 15 July 2023. Further documentation was requested from the persons concerned. However, the renewal has remained pending as no further documentation was provided.

Registration Office management have reviewed the case and taken a decision to process the renewals on the basis of historical records as an exceptional measure. Updated Irish Residence Permits cards will issue to the individuals concerned in due course.

Queries in relation to the status of individual immigration cases may be made directly to my Department by email using the Oireachtas Mail facility at INISOireachtasMail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose. This service enables up to date information on such cases to be obtained without the need to seek information by way of the Parliamentary Question process. The Deputy may consider using the email service except in cases where the response is, in the Deputy's view, inadequate or too long awaited.
