303. Deputy Seán Canney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his Department has tested badgers in the Kilcolgan and Kinvara areas of County Galway for TB over the past five years; if so, the results; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7392/24]

Capture Kilcolgan area 2020-2024
10 Badgers removed to Lab (4 Negative, 4 Positive, awaiting results for the last two)
Captures Kinvarra area 2020 – 2024
6 Badgers removed to Lab (5 Negative, 1 Positive)
The positive term above relates to positive culture results for Mycobacterium bovis.
Deer:
There were no deer carcasses submitted from either Kilcolgan or Kinvara to the RVL that services these areas.
