Deputy Sean Sherlock asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the up-to-date position with a housing development in County Kildare (details supplied); if the local authority have advanced in its attempts to upgrade the development; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraKildare County Council recently presented a proposal to my Department to support a new AHB/approved housing body to take responsibility for the housing development in question and last week, my Department confirmed funding approval for the necessary works to restore and re-tenant the housing.
I look forward to these homes being brought back into productive use to provide secure and comfortable accommodation for the intended residents. Further details on the advancement of these works will be available directly from the Council.
