163. Deputy Noel Grealish asked the Minister for Transport if he will allow for a VAT exemption on the purchase of new buses for deployment in passenger transport given the overarching benefits to decarbonising the national fleet; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17510/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including the procurement of the national Public Service Obligation bus fleet.
