175. Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Transport if funding will be provided to upgrade Thomastown railway station, Kilkenny, to make it disabled-friendly and to include modern toilet facilities, covered waiting area and seating; and if the matter will be expedited. [17764/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister of Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding of public transport. The operation, maintenance and renewal of the rail network and stations on the network, including the proposed upgrading of the station at Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, is a matter for Iarnród Éireann in the first instance.
